UltraCote Gold RC Aircraft Covering is a high-tech polyester covering designed for RC airplanes, delivering a vivid gold finish with practical performance. It uses a unique multi-temperature adhesive shrinkage system that bonds and shapes the film as heat is applied, making it easy to apply and adjust. A patented polymerizing process permanently fuses the gold color to the polyester, preventing color-layer separation and allowing repositioning during installation. The covering can shrink and stretch to cleanly follow curves and wingtips, giving a smooth, professional look. It weighs about 0.30 oz per square foot and is fuel-proof to glow fuel, gas, and smoke oil, with waterproof properties to resist moisture. Adhesion to wood begins around 200–220 F, shrinkage starts around 300 F, and maximum shrinkage occurs at about 350 F.
