UltraCote Light Gray RC airplane covering is a high-tech polyester film designed for model aircraft. It features a unique multi-temperature adhesive and shrinkage system that makes the light-gray color easy to apply and highly adjustable on most RC planes. A patented polymerizing process permanently fuses the pigment to the film, eliminating color-layer separation and allowing repositioning during installation. The covering’s ability to shrink and stretch helps it conform around tight curves and wingtips for a smooth, professional finish.

Weighing about 0.30 oz per square foot, this lightweight covering is fuel-proof against glow fuel, gas, and smoke oil, and waterproof. Adhesion to wood begins around 200–220°F, shrinkage onset begins around 300°F, and maximum shrinkage occurs around 350°F, giving modelers precise control over tension and fit during application.
