UltraCote, Chrome (HANU886)

Chrome UltraCote RC airplane covering is a high-tech polyester film that delivers a bright chrome finish on RC aircraft. A patented polymerizing process permanently fuses the chrome color to the film, eliminating color-layer separation and allowing the covering to be repositioned on the model. Its multi-temperature adhesive shrinkage system lets the film both shrink and stretch, making it easy to apply around tight curves and wingtips, while remaining lightweight at about 0.30 oz per square foot.

Designed for RC aircraft, this chrome covering adheres to wood and similar substrates during heat-assisted application. Adhesion to wood begins at 200–220°F, shrinkage starts around 300°F, and maximum shrinkage is reached at about 350°F. It’s fuel-proof to glow fuel, gas, and smoke oil and is waterproof, providing durable chrome that withstands fuel exposure and moisture.
