Hangar 9 UltraCote Safety Yellow RC Aircraft Covering is a high-tech polyester film designed for covering model airplanes. It features a multi-temperature adhesive and shrinkage system that makes the Safety Yellow color easy to apply and adjust. A patented polymerizing process permanently fuses the color to the film, preventing color-layer separation and allowing repositioning on the model as you work.

Lightweight at about 0.30 oz per square foot, the covering can shrink and stretch to conform around curves and wingtips for a smooth finish. It is fuel-proof to glow fuel, gas, and smoke oil, and waterproof as well. Adhesion to wood begins around 200–220°F, shrinkage starts around 300°F, and maximum shrinkage occurs at about 350°F.
