UltraCote, Safety Orange (HANU892)

UltraCote Safety Orange RC Airplane Covering is a high-tech polyester film designed for finishing model airplanes. It uses a multi-temperature adhesive shrink system and a patented polymerizing process that permanently fuses the orange color to the film, preventing color-layer separation and allowing the covering to be repositioned during application. The material can shrink and stretch to conform around tight curves and wingtips, delivering a smooth, durable finish.

At about 0.30 oz per square foot, it stays lightweight while providing fuel-proof protection against glow fuel, gas, and smoke oil, and is waterproof. For application, adhesion to wood begins at roughly 200–220°F, shrinkage starts around 300°F, and maximum shrinkage occurs near 350°F, making it versatile for a wide range of RC aircraft surfaces.
