ULTRACOTE TRANSPARENT VIOLET (HANU955)

Hangar 9 UltraCote Transparent Violet RC aircraft covering is a high-tech polyester film designed to give model airplanes a transparent violet finish.

Designed for ease of use, it features a multi-temperature adhesive shrinkage system and a patented polymerizing process that permanently fuses the color to the film, eliminating color-layer separation and allowing repositioning on the model. It can shrink and stretch to follow tight curves and wingtips, remains lightweight at about 0.30 oz per square foot, and is fuel-proof to glow fuel, gasoline, and smoke oil, as well as waterproof. Adhesion to wood begins at 200–220°F, shrinkage onset starts around 300°F, with maximum shrinkage at about 350°F.
