It uses a multi‑temperature adhesive shrinkage system and a patented polymerizing process that permanently fuses the color to the film, eliminating color‑layer separation and allowing repositioning on the model. Lightweight at about 0.12 oz/sq ft, UltraCote Lite is fuel‑proof to glow fuel, gas, and smoke oil, and waterproof, with a clear finish that preserves underlying paint or decals while delivering a smooth, wrinkle‑free surface around curves and wingtips.

To apply, start with a smooth surface and tack the panel in place at about 220°F to bond the film. Shrinking is done with heat: most shrinkage occurs between 300°F and 330°F with maximum shrinkage near 350°F, and a higher temperature can tighten remaining wrinkles if needed while using the minimum heat necessary. The covering can be lifted and repositioned during application, making it forgiving around tight curves; when applying multiple colors, apply lighter colors first to prevent dark colors from showing through. Suitable for wings, fuselages, and other flat or curved surfaces, UltraCote Lite yields a durable, professional finish that showcases your model’s lines and details.
