Carbon Cub S2 1.3m BNF Basic with SAFE is a 1.3-meter wingspan RC scale trainer designed to make learning to fly approachable and enjoyable. Based on CubCrafters’ Carbon Cub, it pairs a true-to-scale look with Horizon Hobby’s SAFE technology, offering Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced flight modes plus Panic Recovery to help you stay in control as your skills grow.

Built from a durable EPO airframe and powered by a brushless system with a 30A telemetry-capable ESC, the model arrives mostly factory-assembled with the flight controller and receiver installed for quick final assembly that requires no glue or special tools. It rides on rugged landing gear with oversized tires that handle grass, gravel and dirt, with optional floats for water use and an optional Landing Assist Sensor to smooth landings. The BNF Basic version uses your own Spektrum transmitter and battery/charger (sold separately), while the Ready-To-Fly version includes a Spektrum transmitter along with a LiPo battery and USB-C charger; SAFE Plus GPS features such as AutoLand, Virtual Fence and Holding Pattern can be added later via a GPS module for even easier, safer flights.
