The HobbyZone Apprentice STOL S 700mm combines classic training design with modern features in a compact, ultra-micro size, making it ideal for first-time RC pilots. Scaled down from the larger Apprentice models and incorporating Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) capabilities inspired by the E-flite Timber series, this model offers exceptional convenience and versatility. Its compact size allows it to be flown in spaces that would be challenging for larger models, such as parks, yards, sports fields, and other local areas, while maintaining the same user-friendly experience.

Equipped with SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology, the Apprentice STOL S features multiple flight modes to help new pilots build skills and confidence. Beginner, Intermediate, and Experienced modes, accessible with the flip of a switch, allow pilots to safely progress at their own pace and even perform aerobatics like loops and rolls when ready. The Apprentice STOL S 700mm arrives nearly ready to fly, with a factory-installed brushless motor, ESC, dual-protocol receiver, and servos, all fitted within a lightweight yet durable EPO airframe that’s designed to withstand everyday wear and tear.

The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version comes complete with a Spektrum SLT6 2.4GHz controller/transmitter, rechargeable 2S 300mAh LiPo battery, and a USB-C charger. This transmitter is compatible with other Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft and doubles as a controller for the included trial version of the RealFlight Trainer Edition RC flight simulator. With this simulator, new pilots can practice flying at home on a computer, using the SLT6 transmitter for a seamless training experience. For experienced pilots, a Bind-N-Fly Basic (BNF) version is also available, which can be paired with their favorite Spektrum transmitter.

The Apprentice STOL S 700mm’s durable EPO construction and ultra-micro size make it the most resilient and affordable trainer model in the series.
