Amtrak SC-44 Charger and Pacific Surfliner 4-Unit Base Set is a ready-to-run model railroading package that pairs a Siemens SC-44 Charger locomotive with Pacific Surfliner bi-level cars in the blue and silver livery. Designed for push-pull operation, this four-unit set adds a modern Amtrak service to a layout and is compatible with DCC for flexible control.

Locomotives are equipped with KATO magnetic knuckle couplers, directional golden-white LEDs for headlights and illuminated number boards, and a five-pole motor with all-wheel electrical pickup and blackened wheels for smooth, reliable operation. They are DCC-friendly and include space in the fuel tank area for a speaker, with prototypical see-through venting that can be lit by an optional interior lighting kit. The Bi-Level Surfliner coaches feature directional lighting for push-pull operation and can accept DCC decoders to control lighting, while maintaining robust, smooth rolling performance in the Pacific Surfliner blue and silver livery.
