N EMD FP7 Locomotive Milwaukee Road Post 1955 Scheme (KAT176-2303)

EMD FP7 Locomotive in Milwaukee Road Post-1955 Scheme is a high-fidelity HO-scale model designed to reproduce the diesel-era power behind the Olympian Hiawatha. After 1955, Milwaukee Road locomotives carried Union Pacific Armour Yellow, and this locomotive faithfully captures that distinctive look with a purpose-built FP7 mechanism and a newly tooled F7B shell that reflects the prototypical Milwaukee equipment. It rides on low-flange wheels and uses KATO magnetic knuckle couplers for smooth, reliable operation on modern track, and it’s DCC-compatible with LokSound 5 Micro for enhanced sound and control. A winterization hatch on the shell adds authenticity for northern service.

Designed for HO-scale railroading, this model offers an authentic silhouette and dependable performance for recreating mid-century Milwaukee Road scenes on a home or club layout. The updated FP7 drive, detailed shell work, low-flange wheels, and magnetic knuckle couplers support smooth running through curves and grades, while DCC compatibility with LokSound 5 Micro enables rich sound and precise control on digital layouts. Optional interior lighting for compatible passenger cars can further enhance the Olympian Hiawatha look when paired with era-appropriate equipment.
