PROTOform Better Edge Sanding Drum for Handheld Rotary Tool is the first piece in PROTOform's Better Edge System, designed to refine polycarbonate RC body wheel wells. Used with a handheld rotary tool (not included), it smooths the rough edges left after cutting the body with scissors, helping achieve a clean, concours-ready finish on a range of RC body scales from 1:12 up to 1:8 and beyond.

Made from red and black anodized aluminum and steel, the drum ships pre-assembled with a replaceable silicon carbide spiral sanding band, rubber anti-slip O-rings, and a durable tool-steel mandrel. It measures 1.5 inches in diameter and 1 inch wide, with a 0.125-inch mandrel diameter and a 1.125-inch mandrel length. The sanding band slides over the drum and is secured by a retainer ring that screws on finger-tight, with no wrench required. This setup delivers a precise, smooth edge for wheel wells, improving fit and appearance on polycarbonate bodies.
