The fully licensed 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo body is a highly detailed 3 piece body, featuring painted side mirrors, clear windows, a detailed interior, injection molded chrome plastic details, chrome decals, magnetic body mounts, and is LED light ready. The Monte Carlo is offered in green or purple, with a clear body also available for custom paint jobs. It includes authentic looking whitewall tires mounted on chrome wire spoke wheels with center knockoffs.
The Redcat Monte Carlo is the first to utilize the new LR260 chassis, which has a solid rear axle and independent front suspension. A standout feature of the new Monte Carlo is the capability to raise and lower each of the four wheels independently while driving, achieved by five servos"”one for each wheel and one for steering. Additionally, the LR260 chassis accommodates hundreds of aftermarket bodies thanks to the included optionally installed body posts.
The model comes with the LR6X six channel 2.4GHz computer radio system designed for RC lowriders, equipped with various buttons, levers, and switches to control the Monte Carlo and perform realistic lowrider tricks. The radio features individual switches for each of the four height adjustment servos, momentary switches for elevating the front or rear to maximum ride height, and momentary buttons for lowering them to minimum height. The configuration of levers and switches mirrors that of a full-sized hopper control unit, providing drivers with a realistic simulation of operating a hydraulically controlled lowrider.
