HO Scale 50-foot Smooth-Side Mechanical Reefer car in NYMX markings, a ready-to-run model that recreates a mid-century mechanical refrigeration car used in freight service.

Fully assembled and ready to run, the model features a highly detailed injection-molded body with realistic paint and lettering, 33" machined wheels with RP25 contours, and body-mounted McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers with a separate brake wheel. It is weighted for smooth, reliable operation and negotiates an 18" minimum radius. The prototype history reflects the era when mechanical reefers replaced ice bunkers during the 1950s and 1960s, with these 50-foot cars delivered to many railroads of the period.
