HO-scale Roundhouse F7A diesel locomotive, a DCC-ready replica designed to bring the classic EMD F7A to HO layouts. Based on the Phase I Early tooling, it features new body design, a heavy die-cast frame with room for 21-pin DCC decoders, and flush-fitting cab glass with porthole and rear window detailing for a clean, lifelike silhouette. Prototype touches include the option of a single or dual headlights, separately-applied horns, and McHenry operating scale knuckle couplers, plus dual rear coupler mounting options. An improved all-wheel pickup system uses two wires per truck to help maintain steady power through curves and yards.

Ready to run straight out of the box, the locomotive is fully assembled and painted for realism. It uses a 5-pole motor with flywheels and a multi-link drive for smooth, quiet operation, and RP25-profile wheels that work with most HO track brands. The heavy, die-cast-weight chassis provides traction and stability, and the model is designed for HO layouts with an 18-inch minimum radius, delivering a capable, visually impressive addition to any train setup.
