HO F7A Locomotive Southern Pacific #6238 (RND3314)

HO-scale F7A locomotive in Southern Pacific livery, SP 6238, is a ready-to-run model of the classic EMD F7A diesel designed for HO layouts and Southern Pacific fleets.

Based on the Phase I Early F7A design, it features new body tooling with a heavy die-cast frame for solid weight and traction, plus 21-pin DCC compatibility and easy body-to-chassis mounting. The rear coupler box offers two mounting positions for close-coupling or tight-radius curves, and the flush-fitting cab and windows add realism. It uses improved all-wheel electrical pickup, offers single or dual headlights with separately applied horns, and includes McHenry scale knuckle couplers. The drive system uses a 5-pole motor with precision-machined flywheels and a multi-link drive train for smooth, quiet operation. RP25 wheel contours ensure compatibility with major HO track brands, and the model rides on an 18-inch minimum radius. It arrives painted and decorated for a lifelike finish and is ready to run on HO layouts right out of the box.
