HO Budd Slumbercoach B&O Slumberland (RPI141009)

The HO Budd Slumbercoach has been meticulously recreated to bring the comfort of passenger rail travel to the model railroading community. With its introduction in the mid-1950s, the Budd Slumbercoach was designed to attract passengers back to the rails amidst rising competition from airlines and personal vehicles.

This model features the unique design elements of the original Slumbercoach, which housed 40 passengers in a mix of single and double rooms. It embodies historical accuracy with its staggered windows and ample interior detailing, offering a realistic representation of the era's railcars that once served famous routes like the North Coast Limited and Denver Zephyr.

The model is designed based on original blueprints and comes with a high level of underbody detail, capturing the essence of the original cars. Inside, the multi-color detailing, complete with roomette doors, and constant track-powered interior lighting enhance the realism.
