HO-scale Great Northern 40-foot boxcar in Late IDNE Mineral Red is a faithful representation of GN’s mid-century freight equipment. This model reproduces the 40-foot, 12-panel riveted boxcar with diagonal-panel roof and straight-sill sides, including the late Improved Dreadnaught End variant and six-foot Youngstown doors used on cars built in 1953–1955.

Designed for realistic operation on HO layouts, it features period-accurate Mineral Red paint and lettering, multiple road numbers, and authentic detailing such as welded underframes and the late IDNE end.
