HO G22b Gondola with Containers 6-Pack (RPI194003)

HO Scale G22b Gondola with Containers is a six-car set that recreates PRR-era container service gondolas based on the G22/G22B class. These cars date from 1915–1917 and served through the PRR era, continuing into Penn Central and Conrail work trains. In the 1930s many G22 gons were upgraded with 100-ton trucks for container service, hauling PRR-design containers for various dry bulk materials. The G22b configuration included with this set features container loads and accurate end configurations, with brake systems modeled as appropriate.

With a die-cast chassis for weight and steady operation, the models carry full rivet detail and interior features that vary by subclass. They include separate wire grab irons, semi-scale metal couplers, and free-rolling trucks with turned metal wheels. Paint and decoration are authentic, including the PRR Circle Keystone livery on the AB-brake cars, and the set includes container loads to complete era-appropriate freight scenes.
