HO G22 Container Load Model (RPI194097)

HO G22 Container Load is an HO-scale model of the PRR G22 class container-load gondola, historically built between 1915 and 1917 and used by the PRR for decades, later appearing in Penn Central and Conrail work-train service. Beginning in the 1930s, many G22s were outfitted with 100-ton trucks for container service, hauling small PRR-design containers used for dry aggregate materials. This Rapido-based HO model follows the G22 class, with variants for single- and three-rib end configurations, and includes accurate container loads with the G22b variant.

The model emphasizes authentic scale and operation, featuring a diecast chassis for weight and smooth running, interior details that vary by sub-class, and brake systems matching the real car (K or AB as appropriate). It showcases full rivet detail inside and out, separate wire grab irons, Rapido semi-scale metal couplers, and free-rolling trucks with turned metal wheels (70-ton or 100-ton). Container loads are included where appropriate, with faithful paint and decoration to reflect PRR styling across the G22/G22b family.
