HO Scale Pacific Fruit Express R-40-27 Reefer Cars in the 1961 scheme — a six-pack of detailed plastic models for HO scale layouts. These cars reproduce the class of ice-cooled reefers that carried perishables across the United States, capturing a pivotal era of rail service when cooling relied on ice and overhead fans before mechanical systems took over.

Rapido’s all-new HO-scale model is the first plastic release of these cars. It features accurate scaling from prototype blueprints, separate wire grab irons, correct running boards and brake wheels, and proper cooling fan housings matched to each road number, plus positionable roof hatches. The fleet rides on free-rolling trucks with turned metal wheels and uses Lincoln-Washington semi-scale metal couplers. Faithful paint and decoration are complemented by multiple road-number options for the scheme.
