HO PA-1 Locomotive ATSF #51L (RPI23045)

Santa Fe PA-1 Locomotive 51L, HO scale, is a detailed second-run reproduction of Santa Fe’s repowered Alco PA/PB fleet. In 1954 these units were upgraded with EMD 567C prime movers delivering about 1,750 horsepower, and the mid-body was raised to house the new power assemblies, producing the distinctive roof blister, dual exhausts, and four button-top EMD-style fans that marked 51L‑A‑C.

The model captures these prototype cues with accurate, 3D-scanned nose and roof profiles, roadname-specific detailing, and the characteristic ATSF features. It’s offered as separate A units or as A‑B sets, with either dynamic or non-dynamic brakes where appropriate, and includes full underbody piping, factory-installed grab irons and handrails, etched grills, lit number boards, and a complete cab interior. Depending on configuration, it can house a Gyralite or red Mars light, rides on Rapido’s proven drive system, and can be ordered in DC/Silent (21-pin DCC Ready) or DC/DCC/Sound configurations with an ESU LokSound V5 decoder.
