HO PA-1 Locomotive EL #855 (RPI23049)

HO-scale Alco PA-1 Locomotive is a highly detailed model built for HO layouts, reproducing the PA/PB family in a late-era, re-powered configuration. It captures the 1954 upgrade path where certain PA/PB units were rebuilt with 567C prime movers for about 1,750 horsepower, and includes a raised center carbody to house the power assemblies, along with dual roof exhausts and four button-top EMD-style fans.

Roadname-specific detailing and a host of authentic features are built in, including separate grab irons and handrails, etched-metal grilles, lit number boards, and a full cab interior. Depending on the version, an operating Gyralite or red Mars light may appear on the roof, and a proven drive system provides smooth performance. Power options cover DC Silent (21-pin DCC Ready) or DC/DCC/Sound configurations, with ESU LokSound V5 decoding available for sound-equipped models, and the locomotive is offered as a single A unit or as an A-B set.
