HO Dash8-40CM Locomotive with DCC and Sound, CN #2415 (RPI24509)

HO scale Dash 8-40CM locomotive with DCC and sound in CN livery. Redesigned from the ground up, this model brings the Dash 8-40CM to life with full underbody detailing, road-name specific placements, and lighting features such as operating ditch lights (double for BC Rail) and class lights. It rides on a heavy die-cast chassis with a powerful motor and dual flywheels for smooth, confident pulling power, while etched metal steps and separately applied grab irons contribute to an authentic, high-detailed look. An optional split cooling radiator is available for CN versions to further enhance accuracy.

For control, it can run DC-only or DCC-enabled: a DC/Silent (DCC Ready) option or DC/DCC/Sound configuration with ESU LokSound and twin speakers. It includes factory-installed couplers at the correct height and a newly tooled cab interior, plus a detailed fuel tank and trucks. Road-name specific features like bell position, headlight arrangement, and CN or BCOL ditch lights help reproduce the prototype on layout, while the CN split cooling radiator option adds another level of realism for CN schemes.
