The model rides on a heavy die-cast chassis and fuel tank, with two styles of fuel-tank skirting, separately-applied door latches, a full cab interior, and photo-etched cab steps for authentic realism. A smooth-running coreless motor with dual flywheels provides steady power, and DC versions are DCC-ready with a decoder and speaker socket, while DCC-equipped versions come with sound using ESU decoders and sounds and include a Mo-Power power capacitor.
