Its compact 44-ton profile captures the era’s economical, nimble switcher role, making it ideal for tight yards and industrial trackage on smaller layouts while delivering authentic scale detail.

This model features all-new tooling that covers multiple GE 44-tonner phases—Phase Ic with or without lighted hood-side number boards, Phase III with positionable top-hood hatches, and Phase IV. A heavy die-cast chassis and fuel tank provide solid, realistic heft, with two fuel-tank skirt styles and separately applied door latches for added fidelity. Inside, a full cab interior and photo-etched cab steps enhance the realism. The drivetrain uses a smooth-running coreless motor with dual flywheels. DC models are DCC-ready with a NEXT-18 decoder socket and speakers, while DCC models come with sound equipped via ESU decoders and a Mo-Power power capacitor for dependable operation.
