HO GE 44 Tonner Switcher Locomotive with DCC and Sound (RPI48506)

GE 44-Ton HO-scale diesel switcher with DCC and sound is a compact locomotive designed for light yard work and industrial switching on small layouts. Available in multiple paint schemes, including the Boston & Maine Minuteman livery with number 117, it provides an authentic, ready-to-run option for adding realistic switching power to a layout.

Phase Ic (never offered before in plastic) with or without lit hood-side number boards, Phase III with positionable top hood hatches, and Phase IV are represented in this model. It rides on a heavy die-cast chassis and fuel tank, with two styles of fuel-tank skirting and separately applied door latches, plus a full cab interior and photo-etched cab steps for added realism. A smooth-running coreless motor with dual flywheels gives steady operation. DC versions are DCC-ready with a NEXT-18 decoder socket and speaker, while DCC-equipped versions include ESU sound decoders and sounds, along with a Mo-Power power capacitor for reliable, high-quality performance.
