Green Hybrid Gearbox Housing with Rear Mounts for Traxxas 2WD models (Bandit, Rustler, Slash, Stampede) is a robust upgrade designed to replace the stock gearbox housing. It combines a 3mm-thick 6061-T6 aluminum housing with molded nylon rear mounts to deliver strength, durability, and heat dissipation for racing or hard bashing. The kit includes all mounting hardware and instructions and is designed and manufactured in the USA. Two rear-mount options—0° and 3°—are included to fine-tune suspension geometry.

Internal gears, bearings, and shafts must be moved from the stock Traxxas transmission into the new housing, as the RPM Gearbox Housing does not include internal components. The enclosed design reduces noise and helps keep dirt away from the gears, while a stock-style motor cover adds protection against rear impacts. Made from 3mm-thick aluminum and RPM's durable nylon blend, the kit provides lasting strength and heat dissipation. The housing and mounts are separate so servicing the transmission won't disturb suspension settings. Some clearance adjustments to stock A-arms may be needed due to added reinforcement; using RPM rear A-arms removes the issue. For Slash 2WD LCG chassis, a small back-end modification (such as a chamfer, radius, or slight shortening) may be required for a proper fit.
