"Plank" Mini Battery Tray (RPRC1032)

The Plank battery tray is a compact, high-quality solution designed to enhance the performance and stability of your RC truck. Weighing just 0.02 oz and crafted from durable aluminum, The Plank provides a low center of gravity, weight-forward mounting option for optimal handling. Available in Silver or Black anodized finishes, this tray fits various models, including the SCX10-III Base Camp, SCX10 II with upgraded Rock Pirates RC servo/winch tray, Element trucks with upgraded Rock Pirates RC servo/winch trays, and Interceptor chassis equipped with compatible trays.

Mounting The Plank to the SCX10-III Base Camp is straightforward: attach it to the existing rear, center servo tray holes using two M3 screws. Use the Velcro battery strap that came with your truck to secure the battery in place. For best results, gently bend The Plank downward by 5 degrees to achieve the ideal low CG angle, supporting the plastic servo tray as you bend. Avoid bending more than 5 degrees or bending repeatedly, as this may damage the mounting tab. For further CG adjustment, spacers can be added between the servo tray and The Plank.

The Plank accommodates a maximum battery size of L 2.5" x W 1.5" x H 1" (such as the Zeee 1500mAh, 3S battery) and is designed to perform exceptionally well in comp truck builds. Its clean design includes a rear tab to trap and secure the battery, making it a reliable and lightweight solution for serious RC enthusiasts seeking peak performance.
