Extra Hard 16 Tooth Blackened Steel 32p Pinion 5mm (RRP8616)

Extra-hard 16-tooth, 32-pitch Pinion for 5mm Shafts is a high-carbon steel motor pinion designed for heavy-duty RC use. Heat-treated to boost surface hardness, it pairs with metal spur gears to deliver durable, smooth operation on 5mm-shaft motors—ideal for Traxxas, Associated, and HPI models or other demanding applications.

Each pinion is precision machined and stamped with its tooth count. Includes one 4mm set screw; a 2mm Allen wrench is not included but fits the set screw. Made from high-carbon steel, the pinion offers enhanced lubricity and lower adhesion, helping reduce wear when used with metal gears. It is compatible with 32-pitch gears and can be used with 0.8-module gears, though 0.8-module gears have a slightly larger outside diameter per tooth (about 0.00027 inches). For motors with 1/8-inch shafts, a reducer sleeve is required for proper fit.
