22-tooth, 32-pitch pinion gear for 5mm shaft motors, finished in blackened steel, designed to drive metal spur gears in high-performance RC models.

Made from high-carbon steel and heat-treated to boost surface hardness, this extra-hard pinion is built for durability under heavy loads. Each pinion is precision machined and stamped with its tooth count. A 4mm set screw is included to secure the gear to the shaft, while a 2mm hex wrench is not included. It fits motors with a 5mm shaft and is compatible with popular brands such as Traxxas, Associated, and HPI models, making it a reliable upgrade for heavy-duty applications. The 22-tooth pinion is 32-pitch, and 32p gears can be used with .8 module gears without adverse effects such as increased noise or wear—the only difference being a slightly larger outside diameter per tooth. For motors with 1/8-inch shafts, a 5mm to 1/8-inch reducer sleeve may be required.
