Extra Hard Steel Pinion Gear 5mm Bore Mod0.8 17T (RRP8717)

This extra-hard steel pinion gear is designed for brushless RC car motors. It features a 5mm bore and 17 teeth in a 0.8 module, delivering durable, precise engagement for reliable power transfer at high RPMs.

Machined from high-carbon steel for longevity, it ships with a 4mm set screw and is stamped with the tooth count for quick identification. A 2mm Allen wrench (not included) fits the screw to secure the gear on a 5mm motor shaft; for motors with a 1/8" shaft, a 5mm-to-1/8" reducer sleeve is required. Note that 32 pitch and 0.8 module gears can be used together with no adverse effects such as increased noise or wear—the outside diameter per tooth is slightly larger for 0.8 module gears (about 0.00027 inches).
