Powered by Spektrum Smart technology, this battery stores and communicates key data through an on-board microchip—brand, chemistry, capacity, C rating, per-cell voltage, temperature, and charging cycles—so a compatible Smart charger can read parameters and tailor charging automatically. It uses IC3/IC5 connectors for broad compatibility with EC3/EC5 systems, and includes a standard discharge lead. Smart Discharge automatically brings the pack to a safe storage voltage after idle periods (12–240 hours), helping extend life while maintaining readiness for the next flight or run.
