Inside is an on-board microchip that stores battery data—brand, chemistry, capacity, C rating, individual cell voltages, temperature and cycle history—plus a log of health events. Thicker metal side plates improve heat dissipation and cell protection. The Smart G2 system automatically discharges up to 1.5A to a safe storage voltage after inactivity (about 3.90V after 72 hours), with adjustable Auto Storage settings; when connected to a Spektrum Smart charger, the battery’s parameters and health information upload automatically for easy monitoring and charging through the single data connection.
