An integrated microchip stores essential data such as capacity, C rating, cell voltages, temperature, and cycle history, and it can automatically discharge to a safe storage voltage after idle periods to help extend the life of the pack. The battery uses IC3/IC5 connectors for straightforward, solderless installation and remains backward compatible with EC3/EC5 systems. A protective outer metal alloy sheet aids heat dissipation and helps maintain its shape under demanding use.
