Spektrum Smart technology stores essential data on an onboard microchip and communicates with compatible Spektrum Smart chargers. The IC3/IC5 connectors are designed for a secure connection and are backwards compatible with EC3 and EC5, so older gear can still work while unlocking the full Smart benefits with a Spektrum Smart device. A smart discharge feature automatically brings the pack to a safe storage voltage after idle periods, helping extend the life of the battery.
