When paired with a Spektrum Smart Charger, the battery’s data wire communicates through the IC3/IC5 connectors so charging and balancing happens automatically with a single connection—no separate balance lead is needed. Gen 2 design adds a 100C continuous discharge rating, thicker internal side plates for improved heat dissipation and protection, and an auto storage discharge to 3.90V after 72 hours of inactivity (user-adjustable). The battery also remembers the last charging rate, making setup quick and reliable for the next session.
