Built to endure field use, the pack uses thicker internal metal side plates for better heat management and cell protection. It includes an integrated memory microchip that stores key details such as brand, chemistry, capacity, C rating, cell voltages, temperature, and cycle counts, plus a log of health events. When connected to a Spektrum Smart Charger, the charger reads these parameters automatically and applies the correct charging profile; charge rate can be adjusted by the user, and the pack automatically discharges to a safe storage voltage of 3.90V after 72 hours of inactivity. The IC3/IC5 data wire maintains compatibility with EC3/EC5 styles, ensuring flexible use across compatible systems.
