Avian 80-Amp Brushless Smart ESC (SPMXAE1080)

Avian 80-Amp Brushless Smart ESC is a high-performance electronic speed controller designed for RC aircraft. As part of the Avian Smart ecosystem, it powers the motor while delivering real-time telemetry to your transmitter, giving instant insight into operating data. Driven by a fast 32-bit ARM M4 processor, it provides precise motor control and supports one-wire telemetry that streams current, voltage, cell balance, temperature and RPM directly to your radio as you fly. The unit is compact and ready to install with no soldering required, and it includes dual BEC power connectors for flexible power arrangements.

Designed for 3S–8S LiPo packs, this ESC includes a robust protection suite—over-current protection, automatic LiPo low-voltage cutoff, thermal protection and failsafe—while its heat-dissipating design keeps temperatures manageable. It uses IC battery connectors and is backward compatible with EC3/EC5 for basic operation and telemetry. Programming is flexible with throttle-stick programming, the Smart ESC Programming Box, and the SmartLink USB app, with on-screen programming from the transmitter for field tuning; firmware updates are available via the Programming Box or SmartLink. When paired with Spektrum Smart batteries, battery data such as cycles, remaining capacity and per-cell voltages is transmitted in real time, and thrust reversing adds ground maneuverability for certain operations.
