Avian 160-Amp HV Brushless Smart ESC (SPMXAE1160HV)

Avian 160-Amp HV Brushless Smart ESC is a high-performance electronic speed controller for RC aircraft. It powers brushless motors with integrated telemetry and is designed for 6S–14S LiPo packs. As part of the Spektrum Smart ecosystem, it provides one-wire telemetry that streams current, voltage, cell balance, temperature, and RPM directly to the transmitter, giving pilots real-time insight into their power system.

Compact and easy to install with no soldering required, the ESC features a heat-dissipating design and a 32-bit ARM M4 processor for precise, rapid throttle control. It supports multiple programming options—including the Smart ESC Programming Box, SmartLink USB updater and programmer app, and throttle-stick programming—and includes multi-point protections such as over-current, low-voltage cutoff, thermal protection, and failsafe. The unit uses high-heat IC connectors, is backwards compatible with EC3/EC5, and includes dual BEC power connectors. Firmware updates are available through the Smart ESC Programming Box or SmartLink PC app, and thrust reversing can be enabled with a compatible Spektrum transmitter and receiver by adjusting the ESC parameters. A limited 1-year warranty accompanies the ESC.
