Firma 120A Sensored Brushless Smart Crawler ESC (SPMXSE1080)

Designed for 6th-scale crawlers and scalers, the Firma 120A Sensored Brushless Smart Crawler ESC provides precise sensor-based throttle control and refined drag braking for predictable power on rough terrain. It supports 2S–4S LiPo packs, is waterproof, and streams telemetry data such as RPM, voltage and temperature to a compatible transmitter, with transmitter-based programming available for on-the-trail tuning. The unit is compact and ready to install with no soldering required, making it a practical upgrade for tight crawl builds such as Axial SCX6.

Inside, a 32-bit ARM M4 processor runs Field-oriented Control for smooth torque delivery and accurate RPM matching as conditions change. Multi-point protection guards against over-current, LiPo under-voltage, thermal events and failsafe activation, while an adjustable high-power BEC (6V or 7.4V) powers on-board electronics. A robust aluminum heatsink helps manage heat, with an optional cooling fan for heavy use, and a waterproof sensor lead with locking plug and gasket ensures reliable operation in wet or dusty environments. Firmware updates are available via the Smart Programming Box or USB, and programming can be performed from a compatible transmitter using Text Gen telemetry for real-time trail tuning.
