Much like how the Super Cub and Super Decathlon are more feature-rich, powerful, and capable versions of the original designs, the E-flite Super Timber 1.7m stands out among the world-renowned Timber models that came before it. It is larger than the Timber X 1.2m, Turbo Timber 1.5m, and Twin Timber 1.6m models and features a more flexible and powerful 4S to 6S compatible power system. Additionally, it is equipped with inflatable tires with beadlock wheels, heavy-duty and articulated shock-absorbing landing gear, slats that can be installed without glue, fastener-free wing and tail attachment, and more. This model provides the perfect experience for everything from slow and easy cruising to sport and all-out aerobatic flying, along with the incredible STOL capabilities that a wide range of pilots have come to expect.

The E-flite Super Timber 1.7m features inflatable tundra tires and unique beadlock wheels mounted on heavy-duty articulated and shock-absorbing landing gear. This design is aimed at delivering maximum durability and STOL capability while flying from almost any terrain. The slats can be clipped into place without glue and can be easily removed and reinstalled. The aircraft includes LED lights for added visibility, and the horizontal stabilizer halves snap into place, featuring plug-in wing panels with hands-free servo connections that are secured with innovative wing lock mechanisms, eliminating the need for fasteners or tools. The fuselage contains a custom-designed clip to hold the wing joiner tube for easier storage and transport. Digital, metal-geared servos provide precise and reliable control of the oversized control surfaces, including flaps that can function as full-span ailerons.

A specially tuned motor is paired with an exclusive 85-amp Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC, which delivers a variety of real-time power system telemetry data with Smart and non-Smart batteries through compatible receivers. The BNF Basic version, equipped with an AR637TA receiver, provides full-range telemetry data, including overall battery voltage and ESC temperature. It also enables motor/thrust reversing for enhanced ground handling capabilities, along with benefits from AS3X and optional SAFE Select technologies. The Super Timber 1.7m includes a large top hatch for quicker battery changes via a quick-release, multi-position battery mounting tray that fits most 4S to 6S 3200"“5000mAh batteries.
