Super Timber 1.7m BNF Basic (EFL02550)

The E-flite Super Timber 1.7m is a large, feature-rich Short Takeoff and Landing RC airplane designed to cover a wide range of flying from easy cruising to sport aerobatics. With a 1.7-meter wingspan and 4S–6S power compatibility, it can run on a broad spectrum of popular batteries—3200–5000mAh—with inflatable tundra tires on beadlock wheels and heavy-duty, articulated landing gear to handle rough fields. Optional-use leading-edge slats clip in without glue, and plug-in wing panels with hands-free servo connections lock together with a wing lock system, making assembly quick and tool-free. A top hatch plus a multi-position battery tray eases changes, while a clip-in fuselage holds the wing joiner tube for tidy transport. LED lighting adds visibility, and floats (sold separately) can be added for water takeoffs and landings.

This BNF Basic version adds AS3X stabilization and SAFE Select for optional self-leveling, along with telemetry-capable performance from a Spektrum Smart Lite ESC that reports battery voltage, motor RPM, and current to compatible receivers and transmitters. It runs on 4S–6S power with 3200–5000mAh packs and includes motor reversing for special ground handling. Six digital, metal-geared servos drive the oversized control surfaces for precise response, while the lightweight, composite-reinforced EPO airframe keeps strength high and weight down. The plug-in wing panels with wing locks, top hatch, and quick-release battery tray, plus float-ready hardware, make it easy to tailor the plane for field or water operations. It’s best suited for pilots with some experience who want a capable platform for slow-STOL hops or high-energy aerobatics.
