1/700 JMSDF Defense Ship FFM-1 Mogami Plastic Model Kit (TAM31037)

This 1/700-scale plastic model kit recreates the JMSDF Defense Ship FFM-1 Mogami, the lead ship of the Mogami-class frigates. Designed for display and collection, it presents a faithful, modern multi-mission profile with stealthy lines and a role that includes mine-related duties and maritime patrol.

Parts are molded as left and right hull halves to support detailing, while the main gun rotates with realistic elevation and traverse. You can depict either an open or closed helicopter hangar shutter, and decals provide numbers one through six and ship names for customization. The rear flight-deck gear can be positioned from the stern hatch to illustrate minesweeping and patrol equipment, with a slanted deck to store it. As of March 2023, six Mogami-class ships have been launched, with twelve more planned.
