The 1/10-scale VQS 4x4 Buggy Kit (2020) is an updated re-release of a classic 1988 Tamiya buggy, drawing on the Avante’s race-bred DNA for rugged off-road performance. The body is a lightweight polycarbonate shell that is pre-painted and pre-cut, with body-mount holes already in place, while an ABS plastic monocoque bathtub chassis provides rigidity and protection for the drivetrain and electronics.

Under the hood, a shaft-driven four-wheel-drive layout delivers power to all corners through three differentials—the front and rear planetary units and a center differential with a ball-thrust bearing—housed in sealed gearboxes with maintenance hatches. The four-wheel double-wishbone suspension uses aluminum front uprights and threaded upper arms for easy camber adjustments, and universal drive shafts help maintain smooth handling over uneven terrain. The kit includes a 540-size brushed motor and TBLE-02S ESC and is capable of running sensored brushless or brushed motors, offering flexible performance. Battery changes are performed from the underside, and the design accommodates standard RC packs for straightforward setup.
