1/48 Mitsubishi A6M3/3a (Zeke) Plastic Model Kit (TAM61108)

A 1/48-scale plastic model kit of the Mitsubishi A6M3/3a Zero fighter, designed for hobbyists to assemble and display. This kit features new tooling for the main wings and wingtips, includes photo-etched parts to depict wingtip folding, and lets you build either the A6M3 or A6M3a variant. It comes with a seated pilot and four standing pilot figures, plus three marking options, including a version representing Major Shindo’s aircraft.

Historically, the A6M3/3a lineage traces the evolution from Model 32, which offered higher-altitude performance and greater speed but suffered from weight and limited range, to Model 22, which introduced a longer wingspan and in-wing fuel tanks to restore range and improve performance up to around 420 mph. The 1/48-scale kit captures that developmental arc in authentic detail, delivering a display-ready model that can pair with a separate detail-up parts set for added realism.
