1/48 FM-1 WILDCAT/MARTLET MK.V (TAM61126)

This 1/48 scale plastic model kit recreates the Grumman FM-1 Wildcat, also known as the Martlet Mk.V, a World War II carrier-based fighter. The kit is designed to be assembled and painted to produce a faithful, display-ready replica of the aircraft in its FM-1 and Martlet configurations.

Fuselage length when assembled is about 184 mm, and the kit captures key details such as a wing armed with four machine guns, plus realistic panel lines and rivets. A new rear-view mirror helps reproduce the Royal Navy Martlet Mk.V, and canopy masking stickers, a seated pilot figure, and a black-and-white painting guide are included. Decals offer three marking options for US Navy and Royal Navy schemes, plus an invasion-stripe option for Normandy, with a realistically recreated main landing gear structure to enhance display realism.
