Top Flite MonoKote is a high-performance plastic covering film designed specifically for model airplanes. Known for its superior shrink and adhesion properties, MonoKote is easy to apply using a sealing iron. As the heat activates the adhesive, the film shrinks and forms a tight, secure bond to the model's surface. Once applied, the adhesive creates a grip so strong that even years of exhaust residue won't break it down.

MonoKote is one of the most puncture- and scratch-resistant films available, offering exceptional durability along with a range of rich, vibrant colors. The film itself is a thin, clear layer with a pigmented, heat-activated adhesive on the back. The adhesive remains non-sticky until heated and is protected by a clear backing that must be removed before application.

This product is best suited for medium-size models in the 2-pound (1000g) range and up. For smaller or lighter models, a lighter, low-heat alternative such as EconoKote may be more appropriate, though EconoKote can also be used on larger models.
