Blunami BLU-2200 Electric Sound Decoder is a compact digital sound module for DCC-equipped model locomotives that brings authentic engine, horn, and braking sounds to your layout. It features Dynamic Digital Exhaust, which automatically adjusts exhaust notes based on motor load so throttle input on hills delivers the appropriate power, while cruising on flat terrain maintains a steady chuff. Calibration and fine-tuning are simplified through the Blunami App, helping to achieve a highly realistic locomotive sound profile.

Installation is flexible: it can simply plug into models with a DCC quick plug, or be wired via a 9-Pin JST to NMRA 8-Pin harness for NMRA 8-Pin plugs, and it can be wired into a wide variety of models. It’s a 2-amp, universal-format unit that includes a CurrentKeeper connector to maintain performance over dirty track and through switches. The BLU-2200 offers a high-quality sound library with 10 exhaust chuffs, up to 12 prime movers per profile, up to 12 bells, 90 whistles, 40+ air horns, plus additional cues like couplers, dynamos, and cab chatter. Additional realism can be added with functioning brakes, injectors, power reverse, and firebox flicker.
