Medium Ballast Cinders are a realistic ballast material for model railroads, designed to recreate the gravel that holds ties in place along track beds and can also be used to model gravel roads. The shaker contains 50 cubic inches of material, making it easy to apply in layers until the texture looks right. Builders can mix and match different colors to achieve a natural, varied appearance, then fix the ballast with Scenic Cement.
