Coarse Ballast Buff is a high-quality model railroad ballast designed to recreate the rough texture of ballast along track beds. The buff-colored granules help produce a natural, weathered look for rails and can also be used to represent gravel roads in scenic layouts.

This ballast comes in a shaker with 50 cubic inches of material, making it easy to apply along ties and track beds. It is designed to mix with other ballast colors to create subtle variation and can be attached with Scenic Cement to keep rails and ties secure. The coarse grade aligns with common modeling scales, and a scale-reference chart helps choose the right grain size for different layouts.
